Green Light Arts presents a benefit performance of The Vagina Monologues in honour of V-Day; a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls* started by author, playwright and activist Eve Ensler.
100% of proceeds benefit:
Featuring a stellar lineup of community leaders from Waterloo Region from various sectors including political, civic, education, technology, social services, and the arts.
All proceeds benefit Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region and V-Day’s 2018 Spotlight Campaign: The Resistance.
The Vagina Monologues was written by Eve Ensler in 1994 and played off-Broadway for 5 years before touring across the United States. Ensler and a group of volunteers established the V-Day movement on Valentine’s Day in 1998 marking 2018 as the 20th Anniversary of V-Day which now includes over 5,800 V-Day events annually. This event is registered as the official V-Day event for Kitchener, ON.
